Happy new year everyone! What will 2012 bring for you and your family?
Of course in grand tradition the New Year’s resolution season is in full swing! And for a shocking almost 90% of you, they have already been broken! So why is the failure rate so high?
Well, I have learned in my experience in becoming a coach, being coached myself and coaching others that the ‘science’, if you like of successful goal setting and completion is not something that we all know about, and even if we do we rarely apply it.
There are specific steps or a formula that you can use to set and complete goals.
This month is typically a very busy one for me, people want to live their lives differently, they finally get sick of tired of being sick and tired and want to make those long yearned for changes. They also realise that by hiring me as their coach they will increase their chances of success, & that it’s a worthwhile investment.
So this month I am busy taking new clients through their goals and desires, also I am presenting on this success formula for goal setting in my monthly workshop and my monthly webcast for Dr Kenny Handelman on the website; www.attentiondifferencedisorder.com
I believe that for people with ADHD its even more crucial to set and achieve goals, we naturally have a lot of traits and tendencies’ that get in the way of goal completion; distractibility, low motivation, procrastination, low self-esteem, living in the moment, poor planning and organizing skills etc.
As a result so many of the people I help are just continually running through life like a hamster on a wheel, very busily doing a lot. But at the end of the year when they take stock they didn’t get to any of their goals.
This cycle just adds to their already poor view of themselves and their abilities.
By taking a more scientific approach to our goal setting we can end this cycle permanently.
How great would it be if you knew that the goals you set will be achieved?
So if you are struggling to set and maintain a successful goal, why don’t you join me on Dr Kenny’s Insider’s website tonight? Or if you are local, at my workshop tomorrow, or even get in touch to find out about individual coaching and what it can do for you.
Meanwhile happy New Year to you all and all the best for a fantastic 2012
